What God is Doing

In these times of chaos and turmoil, it is essential that we keep our eyes on what God is doing. It’s far too easy to see what the enemy is up to, what he’s doing among the nations of the earth. As COVID-19 spreads, taking its toll on the vulnerable, we can feel at the mercy of this virus and at the mercy of the enemy. While we don’t want to ignore what’s going on, we need to intentionally keep ourselves aware of what God is doing in the midst of us. He is setting the stage for massive revival unlike what we’ve ever seen.

We’ve been praying for the hearts of the fathers to turn to the children and the hearts of the children to their fathers (Malachi 4:5-6). The stage is set for this to happen on a massive scale. It’s starting and it will spread like wildfire, if we will submit to God’s process.

God is doing

I had an encounter with the Lord where in an aerial view, I saw fires starting in home after home after home across the nations. As these fires grew from a smoking ember to a full-blown flame, I saw the Lord sprinkling “dynamite dust” in church buildings, arenas, and stadiums. In a bit of time, the doors to the homes were open and I saw those flames begin to come together in the assemblies. And when they did, there were huge explosions in those places.

For years I’ve been gripped by Isaiah 4:4-6 (as I wrote in this article), yet I never paid much attention to the order listed.

Isaiah 4:4-6- When the Lord has washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and purged the blood of Jerusalem from her midst, by the spirit of judgment and by the spirit of burning, then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering. And there will be a tabernacle for shade in the daytime from the heat, for a place of refuge, and for a shelter from storm and rain.

The fire by night first comes above every dwelling. Then above the assemblies.

This is huge! It’s what the enemy never saw coming when he sent a demonic assault in the form of a virus. What the enemy meant for evil is being turned around for good. He will be defeated by his own tactic.

So what can we do during this time?

I urge you, brothers and sisters, to submit to the Lord’s process. Being stuck at home for days on end is challenging.  It stretches us. But instead of complaining about the circumstances, instead of venting about homeschooling and being stuck inside with bored children, let’s submit to it. Let’s embrace what God is doing, not out of fear but out of love.

It’s time to build the family altar.

Worship with your children. Pray with your children. Open the Word of God together. If you don’t know where to start or how to do this, our website has tons of practical ideas. Don’t stress about perfection. There’s no such thing. The point is not to do things perfectly. The point is to make a sound, to start a fire. Children are children. They will fight with their siblings, be silly, be incredibly loud. But in the midst of that, worship. In the midst of all of it, pray. Don’t try to be something or someone that you’re not. Just bring the Lord the sacrifice of YOU. Your family. Your altar. Fire always falls on sacrifice.

Don’t waste this moment in time. It is a gift, if you choose to see what God is doing. Don’t squander the gift.
